We noticed this stunning time-lapse of a New York City event held recently. We reached out to the photographer, and we learned that it was a Bar Mitzvah.
The photographer, Neil van Niekerk, used four cameras – all Nikon D810 bodies – mounted to a ledge above 4 doors of the massive venue. He used 30-second intervals — the 12,000 or so images rendered as 30fsp video, and sped up for the most of the video to 4x the actual speed than there were frames. All 4 cameras ran of AC power, with external intervalometers. The final video was edited and compiled in Apple’s Final Cut Pro. We asked Neil if he had any idea how many roses were used in this event but unfortunately, he didn’t know. One thing is for sure, this was one amazing production!
